Format of Play
Singles: 6-game sets, no-ad scoring, set tiebreaker at 6-6
Doubles: 6 game sets, no-ad scoring, set tiebreak at 6-6
Mixed Doubles: 6 game sets, no-ad scoring, no-ad serve to same gender, set
tiebreak at 6-6
Each set won counts for a team point. The team with
a majority of the points at the end of a dual match will be considered the
dual match winner. The list below shows the hierarchy of items to be
considered when awarding a team victory:
a). Total sets won
b). Total wins within the Boys'/Girls' 18 and under division combined
c). Total wins within the Boys'/Girls' 16 and under division combined
d). Total wins within the Boys'/Girls' 14 and under division combined
e). Total wins within the Boys'/Girls' 12 and under division combined (if
b thru e are necessary and are all ties, then the Boys'/Girls' 10 and
under division wins will be equal)
f). Total singles wins (if it is necessary and is a tie, the doubles wins
will be equal)
g). Total doubles wins
h). Total mixed doubles wins
Each team will play a dual match against every other team. The rankings of each group after round-robin play will
be the following:
a). Total dual match victories
b). Head-to-head result
c). Least total sets lost (total)
d). Least total sets lost between tied teams only (applies if 3 or more
teams are involved)
e). Lots will be drawn by tournament committee for ranking placement (i.e.
random selection)
