About the circuit:
Gateway Junior Tennis - Chicago offers a tennis league called the Junior Grand Prix, which is geared towards recreational players in the Chicagoland Area.  The circuit offers a series of single-night, morning, and afternoon round-robin tournaments throughout the indoor season (September thru May).  The tournaments are held on the weekends.  High school tennis seasons will not be affected.  The league is open to all competitive levels of tennis, from starting match players to USTA ranked players, excluding nationally ranked juniors.

Player eligibility:
Players who appear on the 2009 USTA National Final Rankings list are not allowed to play in this circuit.  Players who appear on any 2009 USTA Midwest and/or District Final Rankings list must play an age division higher that he/she is being ranked.  The USTA Girls' 16 and under ranking list will govern the Girls' 15 and under Junior Grand Prix eligibility.  NOTE: Current USTA seedings/standings lists do not have any impact on current eligibility to play in the Junior Grand Prix.

Age group availability:
Boys' 10 and Under: Born on or after May 1, 2001
Boys' 12 and Under: Born on or after May 1, 1999
Boys' 14 and Under: Born on or after May 1, 1997
Boys' 16 and Under: Born on or after May 1, 1995
Boys' Open: Born on or after May 1, 1993 OR High School Student
Girls' 10 and Under: Born on or after May 1, 2001
Girls' 12 and Under: Born on or after May 1, 1999
Girls' 15 and Under: Born on or after May 1, 1996
Girls' Open: Born on or after May 1, 1993 OR High School Student

Chicago players visiting the St. Louis area:
Chicago Junior Grand Prix players are welcome to play any Junior Grand Prix tournaments in the St. Louis area.  Please visit the St. Louis section of this website for more details on tournament signup.  You do not need to pay any league fee to play,.  You only need to pay the tournament fee.
